The President reviewed tax and administrative reliefs for entrepreneurs

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was presented with new proposals aimed at expanding economic and administrative conveniences for small business representatives, Zamin.uz reports.
During the presentation, the focus was primarily on simplifying the activities of entrepreneurs in the public catering and hospitality sectors. Key initiatives were advanced to eliminate a range of sector-specific restrictions and streamline tax administration.
In particular, it is proposed to allow the sale of alcohol and tobacco products in cafes, restaurants, and hotels for cash. Additionally, the requirement for cashless revenue when refunding a portion of the value-added tax is planned to be abolished.
These changes will simplify accounting procedures for entrepreneurs and eliminate excessive bureaucratic obstacles in their operations. Furthermore, a system for hiring and formalizing certain service sector employees in a simplified manner is expected to be introduced.
The mentioned measures were developed to reduce the administrative burden on small business entities and encourage entrepreneurs to operate within a legal framework. According to specialists, these reforms will positively impact the development of over 600,000 small business entities.
Based on economic analysis, as a result of improving the tax system, the state budget is expected to receive at least an additional 2 trillion soums annually. The head of state approved the proposed measures and tasked officials with specific responsibilities to create a fair and favorable environment for entrepreneurs.
Special attention will be given to digitizing the tax system and supporting business. We note that, starting April 1 of this year, only 28 types of goods and services in our country could be sold exclusively via bank cards.
This list included alcohol and tobacco products, which in practice created certain difficulties for entrepreneurs, especially hotels and restaurants serving tourists. The new procedure is aimed at eliminating these issues.
