Important changes aimed at further modernizing road infrastructure are being implemented in Uzbekistan's legislative system. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During a session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, a new draft law on "Automobile Roads" was conceptually reviewed and approved in the first reading. This project aims to plan road infrastructure in accordance with the pace of development of the population and the economy.
The new draft law introduces a mechanism for planning roads, with special attention given to public opinion and environmental impact issues. Additionally, new requirements have been established to create an obstacle-free environment for pedestrians and ensure the stability of roads.
According to the law, the costs of restoring the previous condition of roads during the construction of communication networks will be covered. Furthermore, clear rules will be introduced to regulate the movement of large and heavy vehicles, as well as the placement of service facilities.
One of the important aspects of the project is the establishment of a network of toll roads and providing incentives to investors in this area. This will help attract foreign investments for the construction of new roads and the quality maintenance of the existing network.
Experts believe that this draft law is an important step aimed at improving state management in the field of road infrastructure, enhancing road quality, and ensuring the long-term effective operation of the transport system
