
A total of 7.9 billion soums in fines were imposed for illegal waste disposal cases across Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by Kursiv.uz. According to the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change, nearly 15,000 cases of illegal waste disposal were identified in the republic from January to June 2025.
During this period, 14,700 administrative protocols were formalized. A total fine of 7.9 billion soums was imposed, of which 3.3 billion soums were collected legally.
The highest number of illegal waste disposal cases were recorded in Namangan region (1,500), Andijan region (1,400), and Fergana region (1,100). More than 5,200 cases of illegal waste disposal were identified through the online video surveillance system.
This system continuously monitors the outskirts of residential areas, illegal landfills, coastal areas, and public spaces. The ministry calls on citizens to strictly adhere to the laws and to be responsible in protecting the environment.
