In Uzbekistan, particularly in the city of Tashkent, innovative solutions aimed at improving convenience and safety for public transport are being implemented. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Major infrastructure projects are being carried out as part of the modernization of the city’s transport system.
With the involvement of 300 million dollars from China, 200 kilometers of roads will be repaired and four new bridges will be constructed. As a result of these initiatives, the city’s road network will be significantly improved.
Additionally, an intelligent transport information system is being launched. This system will integrate over 700 intersections in Tashkent into a single platform.
Moreover, all traffic lights, photo and video surveillance cameras will be managed through a unified system. Traffic lights will be remotely controlled in real-time according to the flow of traffic.
According to experts' calculations, this system will help reduce traffic congestion by 25-30 percent. These measures aim to enhance the efficiency of road infrastructure and improve traffic convenience in the city.
