Permanent registration in Tashkent and the region has been canceled
The permanent registration system in Tashkent city and Tashkent region of Uzbekistan has been canceled. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan announced this change. According to the information, the law adopted in 2011, which restricted living without permanent registration in the capital and adjacent areas, has been officially canceled.

The new regulation will come into effect on October 11, 2025. According to the previous legislation, citizens moving to Tashkent from other regions faced numerous restrictions regarding purchasing homes, finding jobs, and permanent residence.

This situation forced many to obtain temporary registration. In recent years, however, some relaxations have been introduced, for example, residents from other regions were allowed to buy homes and find jobs in Tashkent.

Now, all these restrictions have been lifted. This decision allows citizens to live, work, and exercise property rights freely in the capital and regional areas.

Thus, issues related to living arrangements in Tashkent and its surrounding areas will be simplified, and citizens' rights will be further expanded. These changes will also positively impact economic activity.
