
Today, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 occurred in the Bukhara region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Republic's seismology service, the earthquake occurred at 04:07 local time in the Jondor district. Its epicenter was located at a depth of 10 kilometers from the surface.
The effects of the earthquake were felt not only in the Jondor area but also in other nearby districts and cities. For example, it was felt with a force of 2-3 points in the Peshku district, 39 kilometers away; 2 points in the city of Gazli, 51 kilometers away; and 2 points in the Qorako‘l district, 73 kilometers away.
Officials reported that there were no serious damages or casualties as a result of the earthquake. Currently, seismologists are studying underground movements and assessing the likelihood of such events recurring in the future.
At the same time, it is necessary to seriously consider the level of preparedness for earthquakes in our country. Since earthquakes are natural disasters, it is difficult to prevent them, but preparedness and preventive measures are crucial for saving lives.
