Lifts in Uzbekistan undergo annual technical inspection
A new regulation has been introduced in Uzbekistan to ensure the safety of lifts and to monitor them. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the government's decision No. 431 dated July 12, 2025, the regulation regarding the procedure for technical inspection of lifts has been approved. According to the new rules, lifts installed in buildings and regularly used must undergo mandatory technical inspection at least once a year.

Every newly installed or commissioned lift must pass an initial inspection before being entered into a special electronic information system. This inspection will be carried out by specialized experts based on the contractor's application within no more than 10 working days.

Based on the results of the technical inspection, lifts will be assigned colored labels according to their condition. A green label is for lifts that are fully operational, a blue label is for lifts with minor deficiencies, a yellow label is for faulty lifts, and a red label is for lifts that are dangerous to use.

Using lifts marked with a red label is strictly prohibited. This regulation aims to enhance the safety of lifts and reduce accidents.
