
On July 16, 2025, the press service of the Khokimiyat of the Khorezm region of the Republic of Karakalpakstan officially announced that all preschool educational institutions would be temporarily closed from July 16 to 18 due to the air temperature rising to 40 degrees and above. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
It was also reported that the activities of kindergartens in the Tahiatash and Qarao‘zak districts have been suspended. Very hot air currents are expected to enter the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan from July 17 to 19.
In particular, there is a possibility that the air temperature will rise to 40-43 degrees from July 18 to 20, and in the southern and desert areas, it may reach 44-45 degrees. For this reason, doctors recommend that the population avoid going outside unnecessarily during the first half of the day.
Additionally, it is emphasized that it is necessary to drink more fluids to prevent dehydration and to refrain from fatty, heavy foods. These measures are being implemented to maintain health and prevent health problems in hot weather.
The closure of preschool educational institutions is temporary, and activities will resume after the weather conditions improve. More information will continue to be provided to the population regarding precautions against hot weather.
