The quotas for admission to higher education have been increased

In the near future, significant changes have been made in the field of higher education. This was reported by Zamin.uz

A decree was signed by the President regarding the approval of the parameters of the state order for admission to state higher education institutions. According to this document, starting from the 2025-2026 academic year, the admission parameters allocated to state higher education institutions for the next four years have been clearly defined.

This will create opportunities for thousands of young people to receive higher education on a state grant basis each year. The decree specifies the admission quotas for full-time bachelor's and master's programs.

For bachelor's students, 35,500 will be admitted in the 2025-2026 academic year, 36,023 in 2026-2027, 36,460 in 2027-2028, and 36,761 in 2028-2029. For master's programs, 9,922 will be admitted in 2025-2026, 10,191 in 2026-2027, 10,477 in 2027-2028, and 10,784 in 2028-2029.

Additionally, attention will also be given to foreign higher education institutions, their branches, and private educational institutions alongside state higher education institutions. A total of 1,320 state grants will be distributed to foreign and non-state higher education institutions.

A special allocation of 30 state grants will be made for young people living abroad who wish to receive education in their homeland. Furthermore, in collaboration with the Family and Women’s Committee, it is planned to allocate 4,000 special grants for women.

All these changes will be implemented based on proposals presented to the State Commission by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations. As a result, opportunities for young people wishing to pursue higher education in the future will expand.

The gradual increase of state grants serves to create equal opportunities in the education sector. Currently, the demand and competition for education are high, and this decree opens new doors for young people and will help in the future to train qualified and knowledgeable specialists.
