A woman's appeal to the court after receiving a salary for 21 years without going to work in France has gained significant attention. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
A woman named Lourens van Vassenxou was transferred to a secretary position in 2002 due to health issues. Later, her employers moved her to a work-from-home arrangement, paying her a regular salary.
However, Lourens claims that this situation was not a privilege for her, but rather a serious mental torment. She emphasized in court that sitting at home without doing any work was very difficult and that she was neglected by her employers.
This isolation lasted for over 20 years, causing her significant psychological pressure. Therefore, Lourens is demanding compensation for moral damages from her employer.
Currently, the court has not made a final decision on this matter, and a ruling is expected to be announced in the coming weeks. This incident is causing widespread discussions in French society.
