Knife removed from chest in Tanzania
The astonishing case of a 44-year-old man in Tanzania has attracted the attention of doctors and the wider public. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

He went to the hospital due to a purulent wound in the chest area. Interestingly, the patient reported that he had not experienced any severe pain, cough, or fever.

During the examination, doctors discovered with the help of X-rays and computed tomography that a large part of a knife remained lodged in the man's chest cavity. It later became known that the man had been injured during a fight eight years ago but did not seek medical help at that time.

He may not have been aware or concerned that the knife had entered his body. The doctors decided to perform emergency surgery.

The operation lasted several hours and the knife was successfully removed. Specialists emphasize that such cases are very rare because usually, if a foreign object remains in the body for a long time, serious complications arise.

The patient's condition is currently stable and he is receiving treatment in the hospital. Authorities warn people through this incident about the necessity of undergoing medical examination immediately if they suffer a bodily injury.

This case once again demonstrates the importance of seeking medical assistance without delay.
