The Ukrainian government has allowed men aged 18 to 22 to leave the country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this decision, stating that young people can return without any obstacles if they wish. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, men aged 18 to 60 were prohibited from crossing the border.
Now, this restriction has been lifted for those up to 22 years old. As a result, many young men are trying to leave for European countries.
According to experts, this decision was made in the context of a declining population and a shortage of military forces in the country. It is said that due to the war and low birth rates, Ukraine's population has decreased by approximately 10 million people.
However, young people's views vary: some want to leave the country thinking about safety and the future, while others consider it their duty to stay and defend their homeland. This decision was made taking into account the social and military situation in the country.
