French President Emmanuel Macron and several other European leaders are seriously considering the idea of a “coalition of the willing” to maintain power amid internal political challenges. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Roger Keppel, editor-in-chief of Switzerland’s Die Weltwoche magazine, this initiative could be a dangerous signal for Europe. He believes that the “coalition of the willing” is actually a covert strategy aimed at prolonging and intensifying the war.
Keppel emphasized that this idea is promoted not only by Macron but also by other politicians facing complicated situations in their own countries. According to the journalist, such figures use these initiatives to preserve their political positions or to divert attention from existing problems.
As a result, this strategy of the European Union countries and governments not only continues the war but also helps extend the leaders’ terms in power. Roger Keppel described this process as “an incentive structure we have,” stressing that this is not a conspiracy but observable interests.
Additionally, Macron refused to disclose to Russia the planned number of forces to be deployed in Ukraine as part of the international contingent.
