HAMAS has sent an appeal to U.S. President Donald Trump, stating its readiness to release more than half of the hostages in exchange for a guarantee of a 60-day ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Fox News, a senior administration official involved in the negotiations provided this information. The letter is currently in Qatar and is expected to be delivered to Trump within this week.
It is worth recalling that negotiations mediated by Qatar became complicated after Israel attempted to assassinate HAMAS leaders in Doha earlier this month. As a result, talks on releasing 48 hostages were temporarily halted.
The current proposal aims to continue these processes and establish peace.
