During the second stage of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs held in Kansas, an unexpected incident occurred involving driver Zane Smith. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Fox Sports, his car crashed into a barrier at a speed of 320 kilometers per hour, traveled several hundred meters, went off the wall, and flipped over. This incident happened in one of the final laps of the race.
Driver Hunter Nemechek caused the collision with Smith's car, resulting in Smith's vehicle hitting the barrier and creating a dangerous situation. After the race, Zane Smith said: “This race was very tough, Nemechek completely destroyed me.
He passed me from the front, then I slid off the wall.” Fortunately, the driver was not seriously injured. NASCAR safety personnel extracted Smith from the car and paused the race for 9 minutes to check his condition.
It is also worth noting that earlier this year, famous actor Keanu Reeves made his debut in professional auto racing, but his car went off the track during the first lap.
