Due to the government shutdown in the USA, services in national parks are limited. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Experts advise the public to temporarily refrain from visiting national parks. Due to a reduction in staff numbers in the parks, sanitation, road cleaning, and security operations are not being fully carried out.
The National Park Service oversees 433 areas, but half of the staff have been furloughed. This situation increases the risk of waste not being collected in the parks and harm to the environment.
It is recalled that a similar situation occurred in 2018, which caused problems in the parks. Experts emphasize that leaving national parks open poses a serious risk.
Therefore, for now, the public is advised not to visit national parks. These measures are aimed at preventing potential problems that may arise in the parks.
It is warned that restoring the parks and resolving issues later may be difficult. For this reason, to ensure public safety and protect the environment, it is necessary to temporarily avoid visiting national parks.
