16 people injured in Sydney shooting

As a result of the incident, 16 people sustained injuries of varying degrees. According to information, the shooting began in the evening while people were relaxing.

According to witnesses, the man fired at least 50 shots, and according to some sources, this number could have reached 100. After the shooting started, the police closed off the scene.

It is said that the suspect fired his weapon at drivers, buildings, and even police cars. The situation became very tense when the police were called.

The suspect refused to surrender, and law enforcement agencies conducted a special operation to disarm him. As a result, several nearby buildings, including cafes and shops, were damaged.

The cafe owner said that at first he heard two gunshots but did not understand what was happening, so the customers continued drinking. A few seconds later, continuous gunfire was heard and the smell of gunpowder spread in the air.

The police warned the public, "Do not leave your homes, stay inside." Six people were hospitalized as a result of the incident, one of whom is in serious condition.

Two men were injured due to broken glass and were given assistance at the scene. In total, 16 people received medical aid for minor injuries.

According to New South Wales police, the suspect was arrested and his weapon was confiscated. The suspect was injured during the arrest and is currently receiving treatment in hospital.

The police continue their investigation at the scene; streets are closed and traffic is temporarily restricted.
