US President Donald Trump believes that Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan can play an important role in resolving the conflict in Ukraine, Zamin.uz reported.
Trump shared this opinion with journalists during a flight from Sharm el-Sheikh to Washington. When asked, "Can Erdogan help resolve the Ukraine conflict?" he responded affirmatively without hesitation.
According to Trump, Erdogan is respected in Russia, and Russian President Vladimir Putin regards him with respect. Trump also described Putin as his friend.
It is worth noting that on October 13, a peace summit was held in Sharm el-Sheikh aimed at stopping the conflict in the Gaza Strip. The summit was attended by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, US President Donald Trump, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
At the conclusion of the summit, an agreement was reached to cease fire in the Gaza Strip and to release all Israeli hostages. This agreement is expected to contribute to peace and stability in the region.
