Trump announced that negotiations with Iran were 'positive': What will Tehran's response be?
US President Donald Trump announced that negotiations regarding the nuclear issue between Washington and Tehran have been effective. However, he also emphasized that it is still too early to provide any specific information about the outcomes of the negotiations.

“We have had very effective and positive meetings regarding the Iran issue. We will see what these negotiations lead to. We still need time for the next steps, but the results of the meetings are promising,” Trump said in an interview with journalists.

At the same time, the Iranian president's administration stated that it is ready to continue negotiations with Washington, but this process must fully align with national interests.

“If the US is not ready to reach an agreement on equal and fair terms with us, we will have no choice but to continue on our own path,” the statement from the Iranian president's office said.

It is known that on April 19, delegations from the US and Iran held the second phase of negotiations aimed at regulating the situation regarding Tehran's nuclear program in the city of Rome. During this meeting, the issue of using nuclear energy for peaceful purposes was also discussed.

Earlier, it was reported that the US side had proposed to Tehran to transfer its highly enriched uranium to a third country like Russia.

The international community is closely monitoring these negotiations between the US and Iran. Their outcomes could help reduce tensions surrounding the nuclear issue.
