A strong earthquake occurred in Istanbul (video)
Today, on April 23, a strong earthquake was recorded in Istanbul, Turkey's largest metropolis. According to information released by local media, the strength of the tectonic movements reached 6.2 on the Richter scale. The earthquake occurred at 12:49 local time.
Turkey's Türkiye Today news agency reports that the underground tremors were felt not only in various regions of Istanbul but also in the city of Bursa and surrounding districts. Due to the unexpected strong tremors, a brief panic arose among the population.
