
The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, outlined the principles of cooperation in the region in his article "Central Asia at the Threshold of a New Era." This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, regional cooperation should be based on voluntariness, pragmatism, and focus on tangible results. The President emphasized that dialogue among Central Asian countries is crucial for ensuring regional stability and noted the necessity to continue cooperation in this direction.
In the field of security, Mirziyoyev proposed organizing regular meetings of the heads of special services, defense, and law enforcement agencies. Regarding the economy, he highlighted the need to develop intra-regional trade, simplify border crossings, and create favorable conditions for investments.
Attention was also drawn to the development of industrial cooperation, formation of regional supply chains, and expansion of border trade zones. The head of state stressed the importance of strengthening regional cooperation in combating climate change and effectively managing water resources.
According to the President, the development of education, science, culture, tourism, and youth programs serves to strengthen mutual understanding in the region. This, in turn, helps to build regional solidarity based on shared values.
In conclusion, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the great importance of coordinated actions by Central Asian states on the international stage. He particularly emphasized that developing dialogue with key partners within the framework of the "Central Asia Plus" formats is effective.
