France lifted all restrictions imposed on Durov
Legal proceedings that have been ongoing in France for several months have reached an important stage. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to Bloomberg, the restrictions imposed on Telegram founder Pavel Durov were fully lifted as of November 10. As a result of this decision, the previous ban on Durov leaving France and the requirement to report to the police compulsorily were canceled.

From now on, he can freely leave the country without notifying the courts in advance. According to an AFP source, the restrictions were lifted because Durov fully complied with the court supervision requirements.

These restrictions had been imposed within the scope of an investigation related to the activities of the Telegram platform. Investigators suspected the platform of facilitating the distribution of illegal content, coordinating the activities of criminal groups, and not fully complying with moderation rules.

Although the investigation process has not officially ended yet, the lifting of restrictions indicates a new dynamic. It is worth recalling that at the beginning of 2025, court supervision over Durov was intensified, his departure from France was prohibited, and he was obliged to regularly report to the police.

While these measures were somewhat relaxed during the summer months, full freedom was not granted. Now, however, all restrictions have been lifted.

So far, neither Durov nor French officials have made a public statement regarding this decision. Analysts suggest that the decision may be related to new information or evidence in the investigation process.

The event has once again drawn attention to global debates in Europe about digital security, platform responsibility, and internet freedom. Official comments are awaited.
