An important issue in trade relations between the US and Brazil is once again at the center of international attention. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Information has emerged that the Trump administration may consider abolishing tariffs on coffee imported from Brazil. This initiative aims to accelerate the decrease of coffee prices in the domestic market.
According to CNN Brasil, this issue will be discussed at a high-level meeting in Washington. On Thursday, the matter will be one of the main topics during negotiations between Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
According to reports, the initiative to abolish tariffs is being promoted by Marco Rubio, as President Donald Trump has demanded swift measures to reduce coffee prices in the domestic market. Experts believe that if tariffs are abolished, competition in the coffee market will increase and prices for consumers may decrease.
This decision is also expected to help reduce inflationary pressure in the US economy. At the same time, Brazil may further strengthen its position in coffee exports.
Diplomatic circles emphasize that this initiative could strengthen trade relations between the two countries and open new opportunities in the agricultural sector. If the decision is officially adopted, it could lead to a significant increase in trade volume between the US and Brazil.
Negotiations are currently ongoing, and this process is being closely followed with great interest by international economic circles.
