Inspections of Uzbek drivers in the USA have been intensified
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has addressed citizens living in the USA, warning about the intensified migration inspections in the country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

These inspections are mainly focused on truck drivers, thoroughly checking their documents, level of English proficiency, and work permits. The increased control is being carried out within the framework of the USA's strategy to combat illegal migration and measures related to the threat of terrorism.

Earlier, the US government detained Uzbek citizen Akhror Bozorov. He was wanted on suspicions related to the promotion of jihad in Uzbekistan.

Bozorov was arrested in the state of Kansas and had a commercial driver's license and work permit. In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on compatriots living in the USA to verify the legality of all their documents and migration status.

It was also emphasized that in suspicious or complicated situations, it is necessary to immediately contact the Embassy and Consulates of Uzbekistan in the USA.
