NASA scientists have presented a new image of a unique cosmic object called NGC 2264. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This object is located approximately 2,500 light-years away from Earth. Its appearance resembles a Christmas tree.

According to experts, the green color visible in the image is the result of gas and dust clouds spreading into space. This process caused the object to take on a shape similar to a Christmas tree.

The bright spots represent newly forming and developing stars. Scientists emphasize that such observations help to study star formation, the dispersion of gas clouds, and the complex processes in the universe more deeply.
