Power of attorney documents are now processed online in Uzbekistan
Modern opportunities are being created in Uzbekistan to process documents remotely. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The government has approved the operating procedure of the Vakolat.uz platform. Through this platform, individuals and legal entities will be able to issue, modify, or cancel electronic powers of attorney online.

All data is stored in a single open registry. According to the Cabinet of Ministers' decision, the platform functions as an official tool for managing powers in the digital environment.

Users only need to authorize through the OneID unified system and fill out an electronic application. After that, the document becomes effective for the period specified by the user, but this period must not exceed three years.

The new regulation aims to simplify the document management process. Grantors can easily make changes to existing powers of attorney when their personal information, such as surname or ID card number, changes, when the name of a legal entity is changed, or when it is necessary to extend the validity period of the document.

This eliminates the need for citizens to cancel old documents and re-register. System security is ensured through integration with state information databases.

The Vakolat.uz platform has the capability to automatically cancel powers of attorney. For example, the validity period of a document is suspended in cases such as the death of the grantor, the dissolution of an organization, or the expiration of the specified term.

Each processed document is assigned a unique number, and its authenticity can be verified through the open registry. Additionally, powers of attorney issued through the traditional "Notarius" system are also automatically synchronized with the platform.

This serves to create a unified and reliable digital space for all types of powers of attorney in the country. Through this, the opportunity to provide citizens with modern and convenient services is expanded.
