
On December 29, 2025, a ceremony was held in Hayraton city, Balkh province of Afghanistan, to hand over the next batch of humanitarian aid sent by the leadership of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This aid was another example of efforts aimed at supporting the Afghan people. It was reported that the total weight of the humanitarian cargo amounted to nearly 390 tons, which was assembled at the “Termez Cargo Centre” site.
The aid included food products, medicines, and medical equipment. The governor of Balkh province, M.
Vafo expressed gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for the constant assistance provided to the Afghan people during the acceptance of the aid. He highly appreciated the consistent policy of the Uzbek leadership aimed at supporting the Afghan people.
He also emphasized that this initiative serves to strengthen friendly relations between the two countries. According to the information, this is the fourth humanitarian aid sent to Afghanistan during 2025.
The head of Balkh province paid special attention to Uzbekistan’s efforts to develop bilateral relations and expand trade and economic cooperation. According to him, in recent years, the volume of Afghan product exports has increased, which helps improve the economic situation in the country and enhance the well-being of the population.
