Unusual store reopens in Tokyo
In March 2026, an unusual store called “Hidden in Tokyo” will resume its activities in Tokyo. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This project offers customers an extraordinary experience — the opportunity to “legally steal” products. To participate in this experience, customers pay 1,000 yen (approximately 7 US dollars).

In exchange for this payment, they have the right to take any product from the store regardless of its price or quantity. However, there is a strict condition: absolute silence must be maintained within the store premises.

Highly sensitive microphones are installed inside the store, capable of detecting even the slightest sounds. Footsteps, the rustling of packaging, or even breathing are recorded through the microphones.

If any sound is detected, the game immediately stops and the participant must return all products to their places. Additionally, customers can only choose products they can carry with their own hands or easily take out nearby.

Large or heavy items are not allowed to be taken out. This project attracted great interest when it was held for the first time.

Customers waited in line for hours to test their attention and agility. The organizers found the project successful and decided to repeat it.

It is reported that the “Hidden in Tokyo” store will be open to visitors from March 13 to 16, 2026. This time, the store is also expected to be one of Tokyo’s most notable attractions.
