Tashiyev: “Learning the state language is mandatory!”
The Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan, Kamchibek Tashiyev, firmly emphasized to representatives of China’s China Road company the necessity of learning the state language. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This issue was discussed at a working meeting dedicated to the construction of roads in the Issyk-Kul region. During the meeting, Tashiyev inquired which company was responsible for the construction of the Barskoon — Karakol highway.

A representative of China Road responded in Russian, stating that the project was indeed being carried out by their company. However, Tashiyev sharply criticized that some employees of the company still do not know the state language.

According to Tashiyev, although this company has been operating in Kyrgyzstan for over 20 years, its representatives have not paid attention to learning the Kyrgyz language. He specifically stressed that foreign specialists must approach the local language with respect and learn it.

“You have been working in Kyrgyzstan for 20 years, yet you still have not learned the state language. Why?

Knowing the state language and learning to speak Kyrgyz is mandatory!” he said in a firm tone. The representative of China Road silently accepted Tashiyev’s criticism and expressed agreement with his demands.

Additionally, the meeting reviewed the deadlines for the construction of the 75-kilometer road. The company representative emphasized that according to the current contract, the project must be completed by September 1, 2028.

However, they promised to try to finish the construction by the end of 2027 by increasing the pace of work. This event once again demonstrated the Kyrgyz leadership’s serious attitude towards the state language issue and discipline and responsibility in infrastructure projects.
