
The situation regarding the death of an Uzbek citizen in the city of Khabarovsk has been taken under control by the Uzbek Consulate General in Vladivostok and the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the diplomatic mission in Russia is in constant contact with the deceased's relatives and is providing them with the necessary assistance. Currently, arrangements are being made to repatriate the deceased's body to Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement noted that there is no official information yet regarding the causes of death. It was emphasized that additional information will be provided to the public once confirmed data is received from the authorized agencies.
At the same time, the Consulate General has sent inquiries to Russian law enforcement agencies and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to investigate this case. Earlier, reports circulated on social networks about two Uzbeks being beaten by OMON officers, with one of them falling into a coma.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the information regarding the second citizen has not been confirmed.
