Qamchibek Tashiyev's Resignation: A New Stage in the Political Arena

There has been a significant change in Kyrgyzstan's politics: Qamchibek Tashiyev, the chairman of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS), has been relieved of his position. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This decision was made based on a decree signed by President Sadir Japarov. Tashiyev was one of the key figures in the country's political life, and his resignation attracted considerable public attention.
President Japarov assessed this decision not as a simple personnel change but as a strategic move. According to him, this action was taken to prevent potential conflicts within state institutions and society, as well as to strengthen national unity.
General-Major Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov was appointed as the acting chairman in place of Tashiyev. Shabdanbekov has extensive experience and has served as the committee's deputy chairman and head of the State Guard Service since 2020.
The political alliance between Tashiyev and Japarov has been recognized as one of the strongest collaborations in Kyrgyzstan's history. Together, they have navigated the country through its most challenging political periods and have consistently supported each other.
As the head of the SCNS, Tashiyev served as a key pillar of the country's security and law enforcement systems. Recently, rumors circulated that Tashiyev might participate in the upcoming presidential elections.
Although he denied these rumors, his departure signals the beginning of a new phase in political life. Time will tell how this resignation will affect Kyrgyzstan's internal stability.
