NATO: The US fully understands the situation in Ukraine

On February 11 in Brussels, NATO Secretary General Mark Ryutte expressed the view at a press conference that US President Donald Trump fully understands the situation in Ukraine. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the press conference, he gave a clear "yes" in response to a question from DW asking, "Does the US administration understand the current scale of pressure on Ukraine?" He also confirmed that he discussed what he saw during his trip to Ukraine with Trump but refused to disclose the content of the conversation.
The NATO Secretary General emphasized that there is "complete clarity" in the US regarding the situation in Ukraine. He said he is in regular contact with Trump and they constantly exchange information about the situation.
However, Ryutte did not reveal what he told Trump during his trip to Ukraine, how Trump responded, or whether these talks affected US policy on support for Ukraine. Meanwhile, senior sources within NATO note that Russia has intensified attacks on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure during the winter season.
In particular, the situation in the energy sector is assessed as extremely alarming. It is reported that the number of drone attacks by Russia against Ukraine sharply increased in 2025, reaching approximately 55,000.
This figure is said to be several times higher compared to 2024. According to Mark Ryutte, Washington no longer has an excuse for not understanding the situation.
But the main question is whether this understanding will translate into practical decisions? For Ukraine, time is very precious: every strike, every disruption is more than just statistics – it is the real lives of people.
