Earthquake in Tibet kills 16, injures 54

A powerful 7-magnitude earthquake has struck the Tibet Autonomous Region in China, causing numerous casualties and serious damage. One.uz reports this.
According to the latest official reports, at least 16 people have died as a result of the earthquake, and another 54 have sustained injuries of varying degrees. As rescue operations are ongoing, the possibility of the death toll rising further is high.
Nagchu city's destruction One of the most severely affected areas by the disaster is Nagchu. In the city and surrounding settlements, hundreds of homes have either completely collapsed or been left uninhabitable.
Disruptions in communication, road, and power networks have complicated rescue efforts, making it difficult for heavy machinery and special teams to arrive on time. Currently, rapid operations are being conducted to search for people trapped under the rubble.
Aid and safety measures The government has organized temporary shelters for the affected population and arranged the delivery of warm clothing, food, and basic necessities. Seismologists warn that the risk of aftershocks remains in the area, urging citizens to stay in safe places and pay attention to official information.
