The production of the 'Atom' electric car in Uzbekistan is possible
The Russian 'Kama' automobile manufacturing plant is considering Uzbekistan as a potential site for the production of its new 'Atom' electric car. According to TASS news agency, negotiations have begun with the Uzbek side regarding this matter.

Uzbekistan is interested in the 'Atom' production project

According to Anatoly Kiyashko, the director of relations with state agencies and corporate partners, the possibility of producing the 'Atom' electric car and implementing advanced technologies developed by the 'Kama' company in Uzbekistan was discussed during a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The company has expressed its readiness to share technologies developed by Russian engineers with Uzbekistan. Additionally, 'Kama' is also discussing localization issues with China and other countries.

Technical specifications of the 'Atom' electric car

Recognized as one of Russia's first modern electric cars, the 'Atom' was presented to the public for the first time in the spring of 2023. Its mass production is planned for the second half of 2025.

The 'Atom' is equipped with a 77 kWh battery, capable of covering a distance of 500 km on a full charge. The electric car can reach a speed of 100 km/h in 8 seconds. According to preliminary calculations, its starting price will be 2.9 million rubles (approximately 32,100 US dollars at the current exchange rate).

Future cooperation prospects

Uzbekistan is focusing on developing its electric vehicle industry in the coming years. Currently, local automobile manufacturers are considering various projects for the production and import of electric vehicles. If negotiations with the 'Kama' company yield positive results, it could be a significant step in further developing the electric vehicle industry in Uzbekistan.

The results of the negotiations and official decisions regarding the production of the 'Atom' electric car in Uzbekistan are expected to be announced in the coming months.
