Auto expert Sergey Zinovyev listed five main shortcomings of the Lifan Myway crossover. This model was produced until 2020 and was sold in Russia for only two years.
Zinovyev noted that the front and rear suspensions of the car are stiff but robust. However, malfunctions were found in the rear shock absorbers installed at the factory, and some vehicles were replaced under warranty. After 30,000 km of driving, cases of steering mechanism failures were frequently observed.
Additionally, the heater does not work effectively because the thermostat is not suited to the Russian climate. As a result, the car heats up very slowly during the winter months. According to the expert, the handbrake pipe rots within three years.
Moreover, the tire pressure monitoring system is also unreliable – it sometimes gives warning signals without reason or does not register pressure at all.
