The Chinese Leapmotor brand has been conditionally authorized to sell electric cars in Uzbekistan. According to the UzTEST press service, representatives of Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology Co. visited Uzbekistan on April 7 and held negotiations.
On April 14, the "Leapmotor C16" models successfully passed the electromagnetic compatibility test at the laboratory in the Pskent district. The tests were conducted based on the UN's Regulation No. 10.
Leapmotor was granted permission under the following conditions:
Appointment of an official legal representative in Uzbekistan;
Submission of all documents confirming the type of vehicles;
Obligation to assess production processes and conditions.
Previously, certification by UzTEST was halted due to the detection of strong electromagnetic interference in the S16 model.
