Chevrolet Cobalt has become one of the cheapest new cars in Kyrgyzstan in 2025, Kursiv reported. Its price starts at 1.2 million soms ($13,900).
With this amount, you can purchase the new Cobalt 2025 model equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission, a 1.5-liter gasoline engine (106 horsepower), two airbags, 15-inch steel wheels, and drum rear brakes. The manufacturer offers a warranty of 3 years or 100,000 km.
The local assembly process has helped reduce the price. The Cobalt, as well as the Chevrolet Onix and Tracker models, are assembled in a large-scale method at a factory in the Ak-Suu village of Chuy region. UzAuto Motors supplies the car kits, which reduces logistics and tax costs.
For comparison, a similar model is sold in Uzbekistan for 146.5 million soms ($11,400), which is $2,500 cheaper than the model in Kyrgyzstan.
