Russia's Volga brand has unveiled its new K50 crossover

Russia's well-known Volga car brand, as part of the revival of its activities, has unveiled its first new model – the K50 crossover – to the wider public. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This vehicle is considered an important step aimed at restoring the brand's position in the mid-sized SUV segment. Initial information about the new model has generated great interest among industry specialists and car enthusiasts.
Speaking of technical characteristics, the Volga K50 model is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 238 horsepower. To enhance the vehicle's driving capabilities, it is fitted with an all-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission. These features allow the vehicle to be used effectively on long-distance journeys. The production of the new crossover is planned to be set up at the automobile plant in Nizhny Novgorod.
According to the manufacturers' information, sales of the vehicle are expected to begin in the third quarter of 2026. So far, company representatives have not disclosed exact information about the sale price of the new model.
The model's exterior design has become the subject of various debates among specialists. Many note that the design of the new Volga K50 is very similar to the Chinese Geely Monjaro crossover, which has become popular on the Russian market.
However, brand head Tatyana Fadeyeva denied these assumptions and announced that no cooperation with Geely was carried out during the creation of the vehicle, and the model was developed independently. Despite this, the vehicle's exterior appearance and interior equipment are expected to fully meet modern standards.
