BYD Company Introduces New Seven-Seat Hybrid Crossover

BYD plans to launch a new seven-seat hybrid crossover into mass production by the end of the year, according to Zamin.uz.
The new model is expected to become a worthy competitor to renowned off-road vehicles like the Land Rover Defender, thanks to its technical capabilities and exterior design. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle is anticipated to fill the gap between the Defender 110 and 130 models.
This news has been reported by international publications and influential automotive experts. Named the Ti7, the model is equipped with BYD’s latest DM-p hybrid system.
The system includes a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, two powerful electric motors, and a lithium-iron-phosphate battery with a capacity of 35.6 kilowatt-hours. According to the manufacturer, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds.
Additionally, the crossover can travel up to 127 kilometers on electric power alone. Its exterior design follows the style of classic body-on-frame off-roaders.
It should be noted that, although this model will be sold in Europe under the BYD brand, it is actually produced for the Chinese domestic market under the Fangchengbao brand. Experts say the Ti7 features a robust monocoque construction, primarily designed for urban driving comfort, yet tailored for customers who appreciate the off-road vehicle aesthetic.
While the exact price of the new vehicle has not yet been officially announced, it is expected to be one of the most expensive and influential models in BYD’s lineup. The crossover’s first official unveiling is likely to take place at a prominent speed festival in July.
The launch of this model will help strengthen BYD’s position in the premium automotive segment.
