Fines for violating traffic rules will increase

Starting from September 1, 2026, the basic calculating amount will be increased from 412 thousand soums to 440 thousand soums. Zamin.uz reported this.
As a result of these changes, fines for violating traffic rules will also increase significantly. A fine of 220 thousand soums will be applied for not wearing a seatbelt, and 440 thousand soums for driving without documents or insurance.
These rules are of great importance for ensuring safety. A fine of 1 million 320 thousand soums has been set for running a red light and using a phone while driving.
A fine of 880 thousand soums will be imposed for stopping in a prohibited area. For exceeding the speed limit by up to 20 km/h, a fine of 440 thousand soums will be applied; for exceeding it by 20 to 40 km/h, 2 million 200 thousand soums; and for driving at speeds over 40 km/h, a fine of 3 million 960 thousand soums will be applied.
These measures are considered necessary to strengthen road safety and protect the lives of all passengers.
