Shell Announces Triple10 Challenge
Shell, a global giant in the energy sector, has announced the Triple10 Challenge project, aimed at creating a real revolution in the small electric vehicle segment. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This new concept offers a completely different approach to significantly increasing efficiency, minimizing charging time, and reducing environmental damage. The main goal of the project is to make electric vehicles more attractive and convenient for the mass market through the application of modern technologies.

The name of the Triple10 project was not chosen by chance, as it refers to three main strategic goals. First, it envisions the ability to charge in just 10 minutes from a standard 175 kilowatt station.

Second, the plan is to achieve a range of 10 kilometers for every kilowatt-hour of energy consumed. Third, the carbon dioxide emissions released into the atmosphere throughout the car's entire life cycle are set to be limited to 10 tons.

These indicators are significantly higher than the capabilities of many mass-market electric vehicles currently available. The most important technological innovation of the concept is a special battery system developed in collaboration with the engineering firm RML.

While in traditional electric vehicles, cooling fluid passes over battery modules through special pipes, in Shell's system, the cylindrical elements are placed directly inside a non-conductive liquid. This method allows for much more efficient and rapid cooling of the battery cells.

Experts explain that most current electric vehicles can only accept high power for a short period because the system is forced to reduce power as the battery overheats. In the Triple10 system, these limitations have been removed, which helps maintain maximum speed during the charging process.

It is reported that a battery with a capacity of 32 kilowatt-hours can fully accept high power. As a result, just 10 minutes are enough to charge the car's power from 10 percent to 80 percent.

This indicator means it has come very close to the time it takes to refuel internal combustion engine vehicles. A good cooling system not only enables fast charging but also increases the efficiency of energy recovery during braking.

Increased efficiency opens the way for the use of smaller and lighter batteries, which in turn reduces the overall weight and price of the car. At a time when electric vehicles from foreign brands are becoming popular in the Uzbekistan market, such technological solutions from companies like Shell could completely transform the compact and affordable city car segment in the future.

The ability to travel long distances with a small battery also reduces the load on the infrastructure. In conclusion, this project aims to turn electric vehicles into not just a means of transport, but the most convenient and economical solution for daily life.
