The number of electric vehicles in Uzbekistan has exceeded 109 thousand

According to data from the National Statistics Committee, as of April 1, 2026, 109.2 thousand electric vehicles have been registered across Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
By region, the highest number of electric vehicles are registered in Tashkent city. There are a total of 79,851 electric vehicles in the capital, which constitutes the main part of the total number in the republic.
Following this, 8,194 electric vehicles were recorded in Tashkent region and 4,525 in Samarkand region. Additionally, 3,042 electric vehicles were registered in Khorezm region, 2,611 in Qashqadaryo region, and 2,231 in Fergana region.
There are 1,756 electric vehicles in Navoi region, 1,685 in Bukhara region, 1,477 in Andijan region, 1,156 in Namangan region, 1,010 in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 799 in Sirdaryo region, 517 in Jizzakh region, and 315 in Surxondaryo region. This data indicates that electric vehicles are primarily concentrated in the capital and its surrounding areas.
Such a distribution is leading to an increase in the socio-economic significance of these vehicles. These numbers are expected to continue growing in the future.
