China's auto market is moving toward global standards
The Chinese automotive market is approaching global standards not only in scale but also in production quality. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Chinese division of the international analytical agency J.D. Power has announced the rating of the most reliable and high-quality gasoline cars assembled within the country.
Research results show that among models produced in the domestic market, brands such as Toyota, Volkswagen, and Geely have taken the lead. This extensive study is based on the opinions of 13,919 owners who purchased a new car between July 2025 and February 2026.
Experts evaluated 127 models across 218 different parameters, including nine main categories such as electronics performance, assembly quality, comfort, and engine efficiency. PP100, the number of problems per 100 vehicles, was chosen as the main indicator of the rating; the lower this number, the more reliable the model is considered.
Quality levels are rising. According to J.D.
Power data, the overall quality indicator in the Chinese automotive market has significantly improved this year. Last year's indicator of 219 PP100 has dropped to 211 PP100 this year.
This indicates that manufacturers are improving their technological processes. Among premium brands, Land Rover recorded the best result with 200 PP100, followed by Cadillac (203), Volvo (206), Porsche (210), and Lexus (212).
Among the Chinese national brands that are also widely popular in the Uzbekistan market, Chery took the lead with 213 PP100. The top five also include Geely (214), Changan (216), Jetour (216), and Haval (219).
These indicators show that local manufacturers have reached a level where they can compete with global giants. Leaders by segment were identified.
Within the framework of the study, the best models in various classes were also identified. Most of them are frequently seen on the streets of Uzbekistan today.
Among small crossovers, the Geely Coolray enjoys great popularity. In the compact car category, the Volkswagen Golf and Honda Civic are leading.
For mid-size crossovers, the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V have taken the lead. In the luxury model category, the Volvo S90 and Land Rover Discovery Sport occupied the leading positions.
This rating serves as an important guide for car enthusiasts. Especially at a time when the flow of cars imported from China to Uzbekistan has increased, the high quality indicators of models like the Toyota RAV4 or Geely Coolray may directly influence buyers' choices.
Experts note that gasoline engines still maintain high results in terms of reliability.
