
Universal Pictures studio is considering bringing back Brendan Freyzer and Rachel Weisz for a new “The Mummy” film, Deadline reported. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
So far, no information has been provided about the film’s plot. The project’s directors have been chosen as Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillet, while David Coggeshall is working on the screenplay.
Brendan Freyzer and Rachel Weisz previously starred together in two popular films of the franchise: “The Mummy” (1999) and “The Mummy Returns” (2001). In these films, Freyzer played Rick O’Connell – a former soldier leading an adventurous life, while Rachel Weisz portrayed Evelyn Carnahan – an English archaeologist and Egyptologist.
During “The Mummy” franchise, several spin-off films were made, including “The Scorpion King” and “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.” Additionally, Universal studio created a number of attractions based on this theme.
The new installment of the film is eagerly awaited by fans.
