The South Korean appellate court fully acquitted 81-year-old actor Oh Yeon-su, who participated in the series "Squid Game," in a sexual assault case. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by the media. During the trial, despite the actor being suspected of inappropriate behavior, the appellate court noted that the victim's information about the incident may have changed over the years.
For this reason, all doubts were interpreted in favor of the defendant, and he was acquitted. It is reported that the incident occurred in 2017.
According to the accusation, the actor hugged the woman and kissed her on the face without her consent. However, this incident was made public in 2021, after the "Squid Game" series became famous worldwide.
The court of first instance found the actor guilty and sentenced him to eight months of probation. Additionally, the court set a two-year probation period for him.
However, the prosecution was dissatisfied with this decision and demanded a one-year prison sentence. But ultimately, the appellate court decided to acquit the actor.
