Winners of “Golden Humo – 2025” announced

The 2025 “Golden Humo” national film presentation was, as every year, an important event for the cinematography of our country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

At this event, master artists who contributed to the development of the art of cinema, as well as the best films and creators recognized throughout the year, were honored. Initially, special awards were presented “For contribution to the development of Uzbek cinematography.”

With this award, People's Artist of Uzbekistan Gulchehra Jamilova, film director Mirhalil Mahmudov, art historian and professor Sabohat Hayitmatova, and “Shuhrat” medal recipient, makeup artist Bakhtiyor Temirov were honored. Following this, the winners in the “Golden Humo – 2025” nominations were announced.

In the best documentary film category, Jahongir Ahmedov’s film “White Gold Calamity” won. In the animation category, Azizbek Muhammedov’s film “Smart Girl” was recognized as the best.

A number of creators were highly praised in technical and creative fields as well. The film “Chasing Spring” was specially noted for sound directing and screenplay.

In the best acting category, Yulduz Rajabova and Ulug‘bek Muhammadkarimov were the winners. The main award of the presentation, that is, the title of the best film of the year, was awarded to the picture “Makhtumquli Firog‘i.”

Thus, “Golden Humo – 2025” was remembered as a grand celebration of creative labor and professional approach in Uzbek cinema.
