According to Bloomberg news agency, Idris Elba received this honor for his work with young people and his contribution to their development.
Alongside him, more than 1,100 politicians, diplomats, entrepreneurs, and figures from culture and sports were also awarded knighthoods. The list of honorees included famous figure skating champions Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, popular singer Ellie Goulding, and actress Cynthia Erivo.
Additionally, last November, King Charles III of the United Kingdom also awarded a knighthood to former England football team captain David Beckham. Such awards are considered a great mark of respect and recognition in the country.
