The film has achieved an international revenue of 1.588 billion dollars, and it is expected that this figure will reach 1.6 billion dollars in the near future. This result has made it one of the highest-grossing animated films in Disney history.
Various publications have reported on this. One of the film’s successful results was observed in the Chinese market.
“Zootopia 2” has earned over 600 million dollars in this country, becoming one of the highest-grossing Hollywood projects in China. The only competitor that could come close is “Avatar: The Way of Water,” which earned over 100 million dollars in China.
Additionally, “Zootopia 2” became the fastest film with a PG rating to reach 1 billion dollars in revenue. It achieved this milestone just 17 days after its premiere.
“Zootopia 2” has generated great interest as a sequel to the first film, which was a major success in 2016. It also joined the group of three films that surpassed 1 billion dollars in global box office revenue in 2025.
This list also includes the remake of “Lilo & Stitch” (1.03 billion dollars) and the Chinese film “Nezha,” which leads with 2.2 billion dollars. At the same time, various opinions about the film’s quality have been expressed.
Some viewers criticize the high earnings of both parts, considering the project to be overly promoted. This has reignited debates among fans about “which is the best animated film.”
