Rare Mercedes used by Marilyn Monroe put up for auction

A rare Mercedes Benz 170 S, manufactured in Great Britain in 1950, has been put up for auction. Zamin.uz reported this.
According to the Iconic Auctioneers auction house, this car was used by the famous actress of her time, Marilyn Monroe. The maximum speed of the car reaches up to 122 kilometers per hour.
This model was produced in the years following World War II and is considered one of the few Mercedes cars preserved in good condition today. The starting price of the car is estimated between 120 thousand and 160 thousand pounds sterling.
This amount is approximately equal to 161 thousand to 215 thousand US dollars. It is evident that this value is significantly higher than the average market price for the Mercedes 170 S model.
The main reason for such a price increase was that the car belonged to the famous actress. According to reports, this car was found in Greece.
Initially, information regarding its ownership by Marilyn Monroe was not confirmed. However, important evidence was later discovered, such as an insurance document and a special bag embossed with the initials of the actress's first and last name.
Historical sources note that in 1956, Marilyn Monroe traveled across Greece in exactly this model of car. Later, the sedan was repaired and restored to its original condition.
Today, the car is preserved in good condition with its original engine. The total distance covered by the car is approximately 70 thousand kilometers.
