Google Pay electronic payment system has officially launched in Uzbekistan. One.uz reports on this.

Google Cloud representative Marcin Krasuski announced this at an event held in Samarkand on October 19. The launch of the service was made possible by amendments to legislation on the protection of personal data.

Legal basis A law adopted in March 2026 established the legal grounds permitting the processing of certain personal data abroad. These amendments paved the way for the introduction of the Google Pay service in our country.

Users can now load their bank cards onto their phones and make payments without using cash or plastic cards.
